Sourdough Demonstration Class

Live sourdough for your whole group. No kitchen needed.

Your group wants to learn something together, but most baking classes need a kitchen. Breaducation brings everything for a 1-hour live sourdough demonstration (extended sessions available) for up to 40 people, and all you need is a room with tables and seats. Your guests bring just a bowl and go home with their own dough. Then the class continues at home. On a free follow-up Zoom, John walks everyone through the bake, live in their own kitchens, and answers every question until their loaves come out of the oven.

Your guide

John Durrant, founder of Breaducation, The Sourdough Academy, has been baking bread since the 1970s. He has won over 100 ribbons, including more than 40 blue ribbons, at the North Idaho State Fair and the Spokane Interstate Fair. He has taught live across the Pacific Northwest and British Columbia, and nationwide on Zoom. His students have gone on to win state fair ribbons of their own and add sourdough to their menus, and have learned a process so easy that they've baked daily for weeks or months after their class. He doesn't just hand people a recipe. He teaches the art and science of sourdough.

How it works

Step 1: Request a quote. Tell us about your group and your date.

Step 2: Set the room. You provide tables and seats. We bring everything else.

Step 3: Bake together. Your guests watch the full demonstration, mix their own dough and enjoy the demo loaves. Then they join John on Zoom to bake that dough at home, step by step, live.
