For reheating sourdough bread (so it tastes like it just came out of the oven):
Whole Loaf
- Preheat oven: 350°F (175°C).
- Lightly wet the crust: run the loaf quickly under water or mist it.
- Bake: place directly on the rack for 8–12 minutes.
- Optional: last 2 minutes at 425–450°F for extra crust.
Result: crisp crust, warm interior.
Slices
Toaster:
• 1–2 minutes until hot and crisp.
Skillet (excellent method):
- Medium heat pan.
- Add a little butter or olive oil.
- Toast each side 1–2 minutes.
Frozen Bread
- Do not thaw.
- Bake at 375°F for 15–20 minutes (whole loaf).
